We are also known as Nottinghamshire Assessment Centre, an approved centre of City & Guilds NPTC, providing Certificate of Competence assessments to a wide variety of land based employment.
We provide qualifications not only in Agriculture and Horticulture, but also in Environment and Conservation, to both the employed and volunteers, in Forestry and Arboriculture, and Equine and Animal Care. This includes the new Certificate of Competence in the Transport of Animals by Road.
Assessments for Certificate of Competence which we offer include the full Safe Use of Pesticide Suite (Ground Crop Sprayers, Hand Held Applicators, Pesticide Granule Applicators, Fogging, Misting and Smoking etc), Tractor Driving, Fork Lift Truck/Telescopic Handler, ATV, Brushwood Chippers, Brushcutting Operations, Safe Use of Mowers and the full Chainsaw Suite (from maintaining the chainsaw through to felling large trees, performing aerial rescue and felling utility poles), all this as well as Animal Care assessments, such as the Safe Use of Veterinary Medicines.
Assessments are carried out by fully qualified and approved City & Guilds NPTC Assessors. If training is required, Nottinghamshire PTC/Nottinghamshire Assessment Centre works with a number of registered Training Providers within the county who will be happy to provide training to the level required for assessment.
